I hope everyone had a fun St. Patrick’s day!!! I sure did. After staying at work late on Friday, I dragged myself to the gym. It’s really hard for me to make it to the gym on Friday…actually it’s hard for me to get to the gym any time during the whole weekend. Friday – Sunday. I’ve gotta work on that one.
I’m glad I dragged myself to the gym though because I lifted triceps & biceps. As I was doing a tricep exercise this guy came over to me to tell me I had great form. When I get compliments at the gym it just makes me work 10 times harder, so thank you, dude at the gym!
After lifting I did 30 min of cardio. I did 15 minutes of sprints on the treadmill and then another 15 min of “sprints” on the elliptical.
I felt great after I left the gym and it was a good start to the weekend.
Here are some pics of some of my Friday eats…
My breakfast was an apple, Ezekiel toast with natural PB and 3 hard boiled egg whites.
I got a salad from Whole
Paycheck Foods at lunch. I absolutely loooooved the shredded chicken! It was so delish!!! I need to make some of that ASAP.
I also bought some new Whey Protein to try. I was given the recommendation to try this stuff. It’s pretty good but a bit expensive. I got some other flavors in the individual packets to try as well.
Saturday morning I hopped on the greyhound and headed back to the greatest city in the world…Chicago!!! I took the greyhound because I like it. Don’t judge me 😉
I think the bus is pretty nice, it’s cheap, I sleep and I don’t have to drive! That’s a win win for me all around.
I got to Chicago and started the day off running..and never stopped.
We went to a friends St. Patty’s party. It was a lot of fun except this year it was a “kid friendly” party during the day. It was so weird to be at this party and having kids running around. You know you’re getting old when your annual st. patty’s day party has kids and babies at it!!! Times are changing, folks!
We hung out at the party and then hit up a few bars. It was a stellar night.
Sunday morning came and I had to get a piece of the most delish Chicago pizza before I hit the road.
We stopped by The Art Of Pizza and I don’t regret that decision one bit!!!! I’m hungry just looking at that picture! Excellent cheat meal 🙂
I got back on the greyhound but this time it was a full bus.
Every other time I’ve ridden the Greyhound Express, I’ve always had 2 seats to myself. This time It was full and I had to sit next to someone…
My bus buddy decided to catch a couple Zs and wasn’t the most attractive sleeper. haha!
Now that I’m back, I need to get back into the routine of everything. It’s going to be a busy day today..so I gotta run!
Did you do anything fun for St. Party’s day?
