Cagefighting, Landlording, and Surfing Oh My!

How cute are our new His and Hers mugs??? I’m in love with these. I got them at Marshall’s over the weekend. That store is like a Target to me…it’s hard to leave without something!

Friday night was a first for me. We knew someone who was in a cage fight so we went to watch it. I absolutely hate fighting so it was a bit scary for me but the guy who we were going to see ended up winning so it was worth it.

I will admit, this weekend I was pretty darn bad with my diet and workouts.  I don’t know what I was thinking.  Ugh…oh well….it happens to all of us.

I love this image below…it’s so true.  Most people think that dieting and exercise is one simple path to success.  That is NOT the case and it is NOT easy.  There’s no clear cut path that’s easy to follow because life gets in our way.  It’s true.  I like to be real and let you guys know the truth.  I’m FAR from perfect with my diet and nutrition and anyone who you follow who says they never fail, they are not telling you the truth.  EVERYONE falls down and fails, it just matters weather you get back up and keep fighting or if you let each failure derail you from reaching your goals.  GET UP, BRUSH OFF THE DIRT AND KEEP FIGHTING FOR WHAT YOU WANT!

On Saturday night we went to Ryan’s cousin’s wedding.  It was a country themed wedding and the bridesmaids wore cowboy boots.  It was adorable and I have never seen that before!

On Sunday we spent the entire day playing Landlord.

If you didn’t know, we have some rental properties that we rent to college athletes.  Our group of soccer players moved out so we had to spend the day cleaning and fixing the house back up for the next group of baseball players to come in!   We spent several hours cleaning but we still have to install a new shower, get the carpets cleaned, paint, and install a new kitchen counter top and flooring.  Wow!!!  When you write it all out, that sure sounds like a lot to get done in the next 10 days!

On a more exciting note, I’m heading to California in 18 days for a vacation.  I can’t wait to relax and experience Cali.  I’ve never spent a whole week in Cali so I’m excited to get a feel for what it’s really like on the West coast!  I also need to try surfing so I can cross that off my 101 in 1001 list!!

Have you ever tried surfing?  Is it hard?? Do you have any tips for someone who has never surfed before?
