What Drinks Are Approved On A Clean Eating Diet?

healthydrinks

I’ve done a countless number of posts on what foods are considered clean eating (Approved List is here) and different recipes with those foods.  Now I want to talk about what drinks are considered “clean” when following a clean eating diet.

Clean Eating Diet Approved Drinks List

Water

Water is the number one clean eating beverage of choice.  Water has zero calories and sugar.  Your body needs water, so drink lots of it!  A gallon of water a day is a great goal to have.  If you’re sick of plain water, try adding some lemon for flavor which will also help to help alkalize your body and aid digestion.
Tea

There are SO many teas available that are approved (Celestial Tea has a lot of options).  Make sure to grab a plain tea with no sweeteners. AVOID sweet tea.
Coffee

If you need your coffee every morning, make sure to stick to a black coffee with no sweeteners.  Try to keep your coffee intake to a cup a day to avoid caffeine addiction.

Smoothies

Smoothies are a great option if you’re looking for some flavor.  Blend together your favorite fruits, protein powder, water and crushed ice for a fun summer drink.  Here’s an excellent meal replacement smoothie recipe to try.  Just blend and drink on the go when you don’t have time to make a full meal.
