I’m a huge fan of The Biggest Loser every season. I never miss an episode. After watching the whole season, last night was the finale episode. Aside from makeover week, the finale episode is the best! This is when all the contestants from the season come back, weigh in and the at home winner is announced and then the overall biggest loser is revealed.
Spoiler alert!! If you are waiting to watch this episode, don’t read below.
First, the at-home contestants came out one by one and stepped on the scale. The final three contestants weighed in were Ruben, Tumi and Jay.
Ruben – lost 119 pounds and 25.76%
Tumi – lost 175 pounds and 54.86%
Jay – lost 114 pounds and 38.38%
Tumi wins the at-home prize of $100,000. She looked STUNNING. She blew away the other competition. Tumi claimed she had been running a lot which had contributed to her weight loss. Lookin’ good girl!!!!!!
Then, it was time for the final three contestants to weigh in and crown the BIGGEST LOSER. The final three were Bobby, David and Rachel.
And the results…
Bobby – lost 188 pounds and 52.51%
Rachel – lost 155 pounds and 59%.62 (Currently 105 lbs)
David – lost 222 pounds and 54.28%
Here are some pictures of Bobby…
He was the true “second-chance-story” for this season. He was kicked off earlier in the season and won his way back in to claim 3rd place! He also overcame a lot this season by coming out with his sexuality on the show and telling his dad at home. Congrats Bobby!
David – You are the man! I was rooting for you a lot this season. He admitted to gaining a lot of his weight after his wife died from brain cancer. He seems like such a sweet man with a huge heart. Congrats, David!!
Without a question, The biggest loser 2014 was RACHEL!
Now…let’s talk about Rachel. She was always my favorite this season because she was a competitor and won just about every challenge they were given. She had such motivation and a drive for success that drew me to her and made me love her. She dominated every week in challenges and on the scale. She was always a front runner.
When Rachel walked out on stage last night for her reveal, my mouth dropped. She looked like a COMPLETELY different person, but in my honest opinion, I think she looked too skinny. She lost almost 60% of her weight and stood there under the lights weighing only 105 lbs! I think that’s a record for The Biggest Loser. Maybe the reason she tripped on the way up to the stage to weigh in is because she’s lacking a bit of nutrients in her diet. I would have loved to see a little more muscle on her. I hope now that the show is over, she concentrates more on adding some muscle to her frame!!
This brings up something that I’ve always wondered about The Biggest Loser. When the contestants go home and diet on their own before the finale, I’ve always wondered what extremes they go to when the cameras aren’t around. Do some of them fall into eating disorders in hopes to drop the most weight and win the $100,000 or $250,000? I truly hope nothing like this is going on with Rachel, but she just looked a bit to thin and it makes me wonder.
In the end, congrats to Rachel for becoming The Biggest Loser 2014!
