Good morning beautiful people!
First off, I just want to say it’s been soooo hot in Charleston lately. Every day has had a heat advisory with almost 100-degree temperatures. We are at 10 consecutive days of 95 degrees or more. Wowzas! This is my first summer living in Charleston, so I’m trying to adjust to this heat but I can’t complain because that’s why I moved here.
This morning I forced myself to wake up early to workout but was exhausted because I didn’t sleep well last night. I promised myself I’d wake up no matter what today and go for a run because I’ve been slacking lately, so I made myself get up.
Not going to lie though…my phone almost got pitched through the wall at 90mph when it went off this morning…
I decided to take my cardio to the gym this morning because like I said before, it’s just too darn hot outside to run in this heat. I did a jog/walk combo for about 2.5 miles and to be honest, I was surprised at the energy I had to finish my workout.
I’m guessing the energy was from my breakfast which was just a quick LARABAR. Have you ever had these things? They are healthy and taste great. They are perfect for a gluten-free snack. They may be my new obsession!
I picked up a couple from the grocery store last night and am so glad I did. I’ve always heard about these bars because they are made from 100% real food, but never actually got to try them.
So if you’re looking for a good gluten-free snack, make sure to check out LARABAR! Oh and if you’re in Charleston, make sure to stay hydrated and stay near the A/C as much as you possibly can!!!!! You know I will be 🙂
