I’m alive!!

I appologize for my absence.  While I haven’t been blogging much lately, I haven’t been working out at all either.  It seems that blogging really does keep me on track to staying fit.  It kept me accountable for my workouts and food.  I went to the gym and walked/ran 3 miles on Saturday morning.  That was seriously the first time I’ve worked out in months. I suck!

I’ve been very busy lately.  I close on my first home on the 19th.  In about a week, I’ll officially be a homeowner!!!  It’s scary but exciting.  The house I purchased needs a lot of renovations, so I’m sure if I continue blogging, you will hear a lot about my rennovation journey.  It’s going to take a lot of time and money to fix it to how I want it.  I don’t think I really know what I’m in for.  This is where my handy man boyfriend will come into play big time 🙂

We have to get and install new appliances, new hardwoods, tile floor in kitchen, paint all walls, tear down wallpaper, tear down paneling and re dry wall, completely gut a bathroom and remodel it.  At some point before the end of the year I have to get all new windows too.  It’s going to be a HUGE project!! Wish me luck because I’ll need it!

Here’s a picture of my new house! 3bed 2 bathroom with a big fenced in yard 🙂

This week I am busy getting my car fixed from when I get rear ended by a semi truck a few months ago! I’m finally getting around to it.  On Friday I’m going to Indy Scream Park.  I heard it’s a great haunted house and I can’t wait.  I’ll have to give you the update on how that goes.  I usually don’t like haunted houses because they don’t scare me and they are usually too crowded.  Maybe that’s the difference from Chicago and Indy though.  Chicago was too crowded everywhere.  I’m hoping this can park can change my view on Haunted Houses!

On Saturday, we are going to my college homecoming tailgate at Indiana University.  I can’t wait to see my old friends and have a fun day of tailgating.  It’s a 99% chance we wont’ even make it into the game.  That seems to be the tradition at IU since our football team always SUCKS.

Have a great week everyone!
