FAQ

I thought I’d put togehter a list of the most frequently asked questions I’ve recieved.  I hope this helps some of you in your journey through the LiveFit program!

Phase 1

Q.)  I really like doing cardio and I know you’re not supposed to do it in phase one. I really don’t want to give up the classes I take.  So my question is whether or not you think it’s okay to still take those classes even though it’s not in the program?
A.)   This is the question I hear asked most often.  I was the same way before the trainer.  I only did cardio and didn’t want to give it up.  I doubted that the trainer would work with no cardio at all.  When I started, I was hesitant about it and ended up doing 2 days of cardio on the first couple days.  Then, I saw Jamie Eason herself respond to this question and she said that you need to TRUST THE PROGRAM and do no cardio.

The reason for doing no cardio is because you are in the muscle building phase.  You need all the calories you are taking in, in order to build muscle.  A lot of people gain weight in phase 1 and it scares them, but trust me it will come off quickly when your body builds more muscle.

If you absolutely must do cardio, you will have to up your calorie intake.  The plan already requires you to take in a lot of calories, so this would be adding more on top of what’s already expected..which can seem like a LOT!

Nutrition

Q.) How much water should you drink every day?
A.) I think one gallon a day is a great amount to aim for.  When you workout as much as we do in this trainer, you lose a lot of water through sweat.  Make sure to stay hydrated.  Your body is 60% water!  Water flushes toxins out of vital organs and carries nutrients to your cells.  The more water you drink, the less likely your body will hold onto water because it knows it will be getting more.  Drink up!!!

Q. ) What type of sweetner is okay to use?
A.)  I’d suggest using Stevia, Truvia or Xylitol.  These are all natural sweetners that come from a leaf.   Try NOT to drink the most commonly used calorie free sweetner… Splenda.  I used Stevia and Truvia throughout this program and they are delicious!

Q.)  Where do you find ezekiel bread?
A.) I thought my store didn’t carry it, but found out it’s stored in the healthy FREEZER section! I found mine at Kroger.

Q.) Where did you find oat flour for some of the recipes?
A.)  I couldn’t find it anywhere so I just made my own.  It’s simple! You literally just put oats into your blender ( I use the Magic Bullet) and let it blend until it looks like flour.  So easy!

General Questions

Q.)  In your opinion, what was the hardest workout of the whole program?
A.)  I would 100% have to go with the first day of Phase 3.  Oh my gosh!!! I seriously thought I was going to puke at the gym and that was just from lifting.  This was a no cardio day.  I have heard a TON of other people agree with this as well.  It’s BRUTAL and I loved it (afterwards of course)!

Q.)  What did you do for a warm-up?
A.)  I started every workout with 2-5 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical.  It got my heart rate up and my body moving.

  2. Thank you SO much for keeping the blog on the Live Fit Trainer. I’m 16, so no one I know would be doing this. I couldn’t find anything with day-by-day updates, then I came across your blog! I’ve been following it everyday, and I’m on Day 68. 69? I forget, haha. I hope that isn’t too creepy. The only thing hard for me is that I’m a vegetarian, so all I can eat are egg whites. And although I’m noticing muscle definition, I can’t get rid of my flab. But other than those I love it! I love how it’s planned out, the workouts are challenging, it’s great.
