Run Like A Champion Sprint Workout – Best HIIT Workout

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sports Authority for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Heyyoooo world!  I hope you’re having an amazing week so far!

Now that summer is ending, Charleston has been one huge flood lately.  Seriously….downtown floods almost every time it rains and when I have been leaving my office in the afternoon, I pretty much need a kayak to get home.  Speaking of that..check out this picture of downtown Charleston from August!

See…I wasn’t joking. Pure insanity!  Yep, that’s a gondola!

Since the weather has been so terrible, I’ve had lots of free time to workout.  I thought I’d share my new HIIT workout with you guys so you can also try it.  Since I rocked my new Champion gear when I created this one, I’m naming this workout “Run Like A Champion”.  It’s the best HIIT workout I’ve created in a while..I’m serious..the best HIIT workout!  It’s simple enough to remember how to do it after doing it just once.

Best HIIT Workout

To do this workout, hop on the treadmill and do a 1-2 mile run at a comfortable running pace for you.  For me, I set the treadmill at a speed of 5.5mph and ran for 2 miles.

Now, you’ll move onto sprints.  Do each 30 second sprint at the speed listed above followed by a 30 second recovery period.  For your 30 second rest periods, I suggest hopping off the moving treadmill and putting your feet on the side foot rests of the treadmill.  Always be careful when hopping on and off the treadmill though, it can be tricky.  Make sure to use the hand rails if needed until you catch your stride!

You’ll do three sets of these sprints, each at a different incline.

I know I mentioned earlier that I got some sweet sweet new Champion GEAR exclusively at Sports Authority but forgot to show you some pics of them.  These tanks are called Champion GEAR Women’s Balance Loose Tanks.  I liked the loose cut of these so much, I got it in black and in “venture pink”.  I also got the Champion GEAR Women’s Marathon Running Shorts in Odyssey blue. Now I feel like a new kind of Champion.

Yep, I’ve been wearing them both to the gym….AND out and about.

Here are some action shots….ignore my nasty sweaty self.  Focus on the cute gear instead 😉

Oh…and on my new Apple Watch.  I’m 100% obsessed with it. You can see it in two of the pictures below!  I never take it off except for when I go to sleep..so it can charge.

Back to the tanks….

Focus Erin…

They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soft (If I could add more “O’s” to the end of that without being overly annoying, I would have) and they have a thick tight band at the bottom which keeps them in place when working out.  They don’t ride up during a run.  It also leaves the shirt flowy around the stomach area but is still flattering enough to wear out with some jeans or shorts.  That’s my kinda shirt!  One where you can wear to the gym AND out and about.

I wore my black one with short jean shorts to trivia the other day and it looked super cute.

(Shorts, Sunnies, Wrap Bracelet)

Now the face I’m making and my mess of a hair…that’s another story…

That’s enough for now but I hope you get a chance to try my workout above. If you can’t try it today, remember to pin it to Pinterest so you remember to try it later!  It’s the best HIIT workout that you can easily adjust and remember.

Also, if you try my Run Like A Champion sprint workout, make sure to come back and leave a comment to let me know how you liked it (or hated me for it haha).
