Target Style Haul Plus A Shoulder & Tricep Workout

Happy Monday!!

As you guys know from previous posts, I’m a fan of Target® workout clothes.  They are well priced, cute and durable.  I remember the days when I would go to a certain high-end store and spend an entire paycheck on one pair of workout pants and that was it.  Well…..the  Target® C9 clothing line is a great option.

I recently realized I needed some essentials to add to my fitness wardrobe, so I hit up Target® of course.

I was in serious need of some new workout socks, headbands and some new shorts.

So I got a pack of 6 cute headbands (here), workout socks (here), and some fabulously cute pink running shorts (here).

The headbands have a self grip that ACTUALLY STAYS in my hair.  I hate headbands that you have to keep fixing all day because it slips.  These are good ones and don’t move!  Oh…and they are only $4.99!  Boom!

The socks are the type that are “no show” low socks, but they are perfect because they aren’t TOO low where they fall below your shoes while you’re running.  They are perfect and less than $10 for several pairs.

Finally, the shorts are light and bright.  Just how I like my shorts 🙂  I recently got these shorts in orange and wear them probably wayyyy too much, so I figured I needed another color to change things up.  The thing I love about them is that I can wear them anywhere.  I wear them to lift, run, to the beach, to bed and to run errands.  NOW you can see why I needed another pair!

I put my Target® style haul items to the test and headed to the gym for a shoulder/tricep & cardio workout.

Tricep Workout

Here’s my workout:

Warmup:

  • Dumbbell shoulder press (light weight, high reps)
  • Overhead tricep extensions (light weight, high reps)

Shoulder / Tricep Workout:

  1. Seated shoulder press (4 sets)
  2. Side lateral raises (3 sets)
  3. Bent over rear delt raises (3 sets)
  4. Overhead cable extensions (pictured above – 4 sets)
  5. Front raises (3 sets)

Cardio:

6 sprints on the treadmill at the max speed (12.0 is the max at my gym).  Just hop on and off the machine to do your sprint (but be VERY careful).  I usually sprint about 20 seconds, recover for 40-60 sec and repeat.  Once again, be careful with these!

Overall, my new fitness style haul items were great.  I felt cute, comfortable and didn’t spend an arm and a leg for essentials that I needed!

  1. So join a gym, start doing P90X, get with a personal trainer,
whatever. While doing your crunches, lift your left leg,
bringing your knee toward your right shoulder and then your right knee toward your left shoulder.

This is done by pumping the sugar out of the blood and into the cells to be used for energy or stored for later.
