My New Place

To continue on from my post from yesterday…

As soon as we got to our new place, we unloaded the truck and hit the town!  We were starving so we went to our favorite bar, Red’s Icehouse for some good food and cold drinks to celebrate the big move.  This bar is great. It’s right on the water.  When you go during the day, you will see dolphins jumping out of the water all day long.

PERFECTION!

So, you want to see my new place?

I’m TOTALLY OBSESSED with it!!

Ignore the mess though….these pictures were taken right after we unloaded our stuff.  I’ll have to take some better ones later once I’m all settled.

Ahhhhh WE MADE IT!

We moved from a 3 bedroom house with a garage and HUGE storage barn into this one bedroom SMALL apartment.  Space is my biggest concern but other than that, I LOVE the place.  It’s so modern and the best part is I don’t have to renovate anything to live in it!!

That never happens in our life these days.  I think it’s safe to say deserve moving into a place that’s not a constant construction zone after what we’ve been through lately.

One of the things we love about our community is all the common areas like the courtyards…

and outdoor lounging/tv areas!

As you can see, Ryan was able to catch up on his sports before our cable guy came to hook us up 🙂

Also, the pool is fantastic.

I see myself spending quite a bit of time by this pool…

Since we sold all of our furniture before we moved, we got to buy a new couch and bed for my new place.  I think they are both adorable and perfect for the space.

What do you think?

And our first house warming gift from Ryan’s mom was just perfect for us!

“I wasn’t born in the South, but I got here as fast as I could”

I love it and I love my new place!

We have a lot of moving in to do still and the hardest part of it all is finding extra storage ideas so we can maximize the little amount of space we have.

Come back tomorrow to see my post about when I finally hit the beach!

  1. So cool! I used to live in a place with similar common areas, but I never took advantage (and never met many people as a result). Hopefully you guys aren’t as shy as me, and make tons of new friends!
