World Cup, Surgery Date & Real Estate

Happy Monday!

First off…congrats to GERMANY for winning the world cup!!!!!  Their team was just amazing to watch this year.  They were such a power house.  I feel so bad for Argentina though.  If you watched the end of the game, you probably saw the defeated look in their faces after they lost.  I love watching the awards and celebrations but it’s also so sad to see the losing team watch the celebrations and have their dreams taken from them.

Congrats to Argentina for a GREAT run in this year’s wold cup though..they rocked it.

It’s been fun watching the world cup this year, although I really wish the US would have made it a little further.

We got to watch the Argentina vs Belgium game downtown Indianapolis and sat next to the mayor of Indianapolis – Mayor Ballard.   He was such a nice guy.

We also went out the other night for the Argentina vs Netherlands game.  That game went into penalty kicks.  Being a former soccer player, shoot outs have always stressed me out!  I can’t imagine how stressful it would be to be a player who has to be in a shootout in the world cup!!!  Argentina took home the win though 🙂

Aside from World Cup action, we have been spending every other free minute at our rental houses trying to get them fixed up and rented.

I spent last Saturday landscaping and painting this pretty porch.  I think it turned out great!

And when you are working all weekend on houses, this is what happens..

You test out the rental’s fire pit and sit on paint buckets!  It was nice to be able to sit back and relax for a bit after a long day of working on the houses.

I know I’ve said this before but renovating houses is seriously a crazy workout!!!

Finally, I had my SECOND interview with a hospital in Charleston, SC!!!

The first interview went well so they asked me to do a skype interview with the management team.

Technology is so amazing these days.  I am able to interview from across the country with no problem.

Apparently I did okay because they want me to interview for my THIRD and final time this week via Skype.

If I get this job, it will be great.  I will be able to move to Charleston, SC with one less stressor on my plate (although hanging out on the beach without a job sounds pretty darn nice too! lol)

I’ve really just been trying to stay busy to avoid thinking about my surgery coming up.  It’s looking like my surgery date is going to be July 29th.   I’m so damn nervous.

On a better note, I’m leave for California in less than a week!!!  Time to hit up Newport Beach again for some much needed relaxation time.  I can’t think of another time in my life when I’ve been this stressed out, so this vacation is coming at the perfect time.

As soon as I get back from vacation, I’m headed into surgery (but I don’t want to think about that!!!)

Sorry for the random ramblings.  Have a great week everyone!
