Rehabbing Properties Is Quite A Workout!!

Lately I have learned that you really don’t need to go to the gym to get a good workout.  All you have to do is buy some rental properties that need a complete gut job and you’ll find more than enough ways to get a good workout in!

I’m so sore.

For the past 3 days, we have been gutting one of our rental properties so we can finally start the rehab on it.

We filled up an entire 30 ft dumpster with crap in 3 days.  That means we hauled a LOT of crap back and forth to that big red beast.

Yesterday was mostly brick and cement that I had to move from the house to the truck to the dumpster.  Wheeweeeee that was a great workout!

I like it though.  I love being outside and getting my hands dirty!

It doesn’t hurt that I have the cutest PINK drill either 🙂

I’m obsessed with this drill.   Ryan got it for me for Christmas this past year.  Whenever we have to drill something I always jump in and offer to do it because I love using it and it’s so darn cute.  Yeah I just called a drill cute….

If only all the tools were pink, I’d probably never leave the construction site!

Here’s a look at one of the houses, but believe it or not, this one is actually in good condition compared to the main one we were working on all weekend.

Ahhh the life of a DIY girl / Landlord / Real Estate investor / Rehabber…whatever you call us….  there’s never a dull moment!

Then we went to Ryan’s college to let him re-live his glory days for a bit.  He played college basketball and he showed me around his old stomping grounds.

Their athletic dome was awesome.  Call me crazy but I really wanted to do some sprints on that track!

It was great seeing this place..I honestly don’t know how I hadn’t been in there before.

After reminiscing in the gym, we had a business meeting with the college’s athletic department.  We had a very productive meeting with the head coaches of the basketball, football, soccer & baseball teams.   It was so cool to meet all of them!

Aside from all my real estate madness, I’ve still be doing my 9-5 gig and working out on my lunch break about 3-4 times a week.  With the combination of my lunch workouts and my rehabbing properties, I’ve been getting in lots of activity!

Are you a DIY kinda person who likes to get your hands dirty or would you rather pay someone and watch them do it?
