Wow this is TERRIBLE! A woman in Fargo, North Dakota is going to give this letter to heavier kids who come to her house this Halloween, instead of candy. She claims she just wants to send a message to the kids and their parents who are very overweight. I think she should just hand out healthy treats if she wants to make an impact!
“I just want to send a message to the parents of kids that are really overweight. … I think it’s just really irresponsible of parents to send them out looking for free candy just ’cause all the other kids are doing it,” the woman said in a morning radio interview with Y94. She wouldn’t identify herself.
The letter states: “You child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season.” (Source)
This could lead to children developing eating disorders, but could it also allow kids to pass on some candy this year? What do you think?
