Remember to set small goals for yourself on the way to your big goal. It helps to keep things in perspective and makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something.
If you have a goal to lose 20 lbs, break it up into weekly goals. Try to lose 1-2 lbs a week and before you know it, you’ll be at your goal weight! 20 lbs seems unobtainable..but 1-2 lbs is within your weekly reach!
If your goal is to eat healthier, make small tweaks to your diet every couple of weeks. Take your normal nutritional routine and make a small tweak until it becomes a habit. Then continue building on that and it will be much easier of an adjustment. Jumping 100% into a clean diet is hard for most people and they end up getting burnt out quickly.
Take progress pics…weekly! Some times it’s hard to notice changes in your body so these pictures will really help. Also try to stay away from the scale as much as possible…even though I know it’s hard! Measure your progress through the mirror and progress pics, not the scale.
Before you know it, you’ll be knocking out small goals left and right and will be at your bigger goal before you know it! Slow and steady wins the race!
