Here we go! It’s the start to another week. Time to set new goals and kick some butt this week!
This past weekend went by fast. I went to the gym Friday after work and then spent the rest of the night running around shopping. I am not really a fan of shopping but I needed to get some new jeans. I always end up getting Express jeans because they are one of the few stores that carry LONG sizes. If I don’t get long jeans, I can never wear cute heels!
Saturday I woke up and went for a 30 min run before getting ready to head out of town for our friend’s daughter’s 5th birthday party.
It was at a place called Big Bounce. It brought back a lot of memories of my birthday parties growing up. I would have them every year at Chuck-E-Cheese…formerly known as SHOWBIZ!
Ahhhh the good ol’ days!
Then we headed to our friend’s place for his surprise 30th birthday. It was a day filled with birthdays!

I spent Sunday cleaning the house and catching up on life.
I only have 50 days left until Cancun and I’m no where near where I want to be with my body. I have a lot of work to do and really need to re-focus this week to start making some good progress.
Also, this past weekend was the Olympia in Las Vegas, NV. Seeing everyone’s pictures on Instagram and facebook really motivated me through my workouts on Friday and Saturday. If there’s ever a time when I’m not motivated to go to the gym, I just hop on Instagram and It’s like an instant motivation booster! Try it! (My IG name is LiveLifeActive by the way).
Anyway, Nicole Wilkins pulled off the big win again for Figure. This girl is unstoppable and absolutely stunning! If you don’t know much about figure, Nicole Wilkins and Erin Stern have been the top two athletes for several years. They keep passing back the crown every year. I love them both.

The thing I like best about the bikini division is that there’s new faces in the top placings every year. Unlike figure where there is a constant battle between Erin and Nicole, the bikini lineup is always changing!
As for the men’s side, Phil Heath won Mr. Olympia again for the 3rd consecutive year. No surprise there! That dude is a BEAST!!!!
