What To Eat Post Workout
I get asked this question quite a bit so I figured I’d post about it. Have you ever wondered what you should be eating immediately following a workout in order to maximize your results?
I just posted this to my Facebook Page but wanted to mention it here as well….
“Your first meal after your workout is the most important. Make the most of it by giving your muscles all they need to rebuild bigger and stronger. For this meal, take advantage of your improved insulin sensitivity, and eat a large portion of the day’s allotment of carbohydrates in order to replenish glycogen stores. Also, don’t forget to have a quick absorbing protein (whey) immediately following your workout to maximize your results!

I’ve been really focusing on my post workout meals for the past couple days to make sure I get my carbs and whey in after my workout to restore my muscles and glycogen stores. I just carry a little baggy of my all natural, un-denatured whey protein with me (I use IsaPro whey) in my gym bag and empty it into an empty water bottle to drink on the way home from the gym. As soon as I get done with the gym, I make sure to have a carb heavy meal.
This simple method can help you beat that plateau or drop some more body fat! Give it a tryif you don’t do this already!
