Saturday afternoon we drove up to Chicago for the Jimmy Buffett concert at Northerly Island. I’ve been to about 4 or 5 Buffett concerts now but this one was my favorite venue because of the view of the Chicago skyline! How beautiful is this?!
It was a great venue. See the island below..that’s where the venue was.
One of the highlights of the concert was seeing Patrick Kane from the Chicago Blackhawks get on stage with the STANLEY CUP and do a ridiculous dance to celebrate the Blackhawks 2013 championship!!! Way to bring the Stanley Cup back to Chicago, Hawks!!! Kane is hilarious. He’s been all over the Chicago news lately celebrating everywhere he can. I love it!
Buffett even wore a Hawks jersey for about half of the concert. Way to represent Chi-town, Jimmy!
The only downside was the weather. It had rained all morning so the lawn was really muddy the whole time. It also rained a little while we were leaving but at that point we didn’t care!
Chicago is seriously one of the best cities in the world…I truly believe that. The Stanley Cup is back in Chicago for the second year in a row!!
Now it’s back to reality but at least it’s a short week!!! I had a few too many cheats this weekend being in Chicago so I really need to kick ass this week in the gym and on my diet!
I’m still doing the 21 day Clutch Cut. I’ve been updating more on the Live Life Active forum so check there if you want to follow along with the program! I did my last sprints at 3mph (walk), 6mph (jog) and 10mph (sprint). It was quite a workout!
Next weekend we are doing the Patriots Mud Race. I hope all this sprinting will pay off and I’ll be able to handle the 5k with no problem. I haven’t done steady state cardio in a long time!
