Tips on Taking Measurements & Progress Pictures

As an online personal trainer, I require my team to send me progress pictures every week so I can see how everything is going.  This is my only reference point so I love when the pictures are taken well.  On that note, I’d like to tell you about a little App that I have on my phone that helps SO much when taking my own progress pictures!!!

It helps a LOT for those who live alone or don’t want someone else to see their progress pictures.

The app is called TimerCam.  It sets a timer on your phone’s camera so you can walk away and get a full body shot without having to take one of yourself in the mirror.

This is the app I always use when I have to send my own check in pictures to my coach.

The best part of this app..it’s FREE!

The second tool I’d like to suggest for reporting your progress is an digital tape measure.

This little gadget is awesome!! It wraps around your body and gives you an exact digital reading of your measurements!  It can go all the way up to 5 feet around so it can measure everything!

I try to gauge my progress the most by measurements instead of weight because we all know muscle transforms your body in a way that only measuring and the mirror can show you.

Here is a link to the Health O Meter Digital Tape Measure. It’s less than $15 so it’s well worth the investment in my opinion.

Do you use any gadgets that help keep you on track??
