Food Prep & A Fitness Shoot

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!  I’m not even sure where my weekend went.  I feel like it flew by and I don’t have much to show for it!  I was able to work out a few times, go on a date night with my boyfriend and relax.  I can’t believe I’ve gone 6 weekends without drinking!  So crazzzzy!!

For date night, we went to the gym to do basketball court sprints for my HIIT workout, and then went to a movie.  Sprints and a movie..how romanic, right? haha.

We went to see The Campaign with Will Ferrell.

It was decent but not one of Will’s classics.  We went to a  new movie theatre because I had a Groupon for it.  Our deal included 2 free tickets, 2 large popcorns and 2 large soft drinks.  We told the young girl behind the stand that she can have our snacks and drinks and she was so shocked!  She said “REALLY!!!?!?!?”.   It was hard to pass up that buttery deliciousness that was FREE, but that stuff is terrible for ya!  I’m glad we passed it up and probably made her day as well 😉

Did you know a large movie theatre popcorn from AMC has 1030 Calories, 41g of Fat and 98g of carbs?!?! Holy moly!

On Monday I took care of my food prep for the week.

This is the food on my menu for this week:

I only have 18 days left until my first competition and 11 days until my shoot for the fitness magazine!!!!  It’s crunch time folks!!!!

Oh yeah…and about the fitness photo shoot I did last weekend, it started raining about a half hour into the shoot so we didn’t get many pics.  I was able to get this decent one out of it though!

This was my favorite out of all my shots.

As for this week…I’m going to be super duper busy with my training and staying on point with my nutrition!!!

I have an exciting opportunity this coming weekend..but I’ll post more about that later on in the week!!!!

  1. Oh man – I can never eat movie theater popcorn. I always get headaches/tummy aches from eating that crap. I’ll take home-popped with sea salt, pepper and olive oil, thankyouverymuch!

  2. I believe avoiding ready-made foods is the first step to be able to lose weight. They might taste beneficial, but ready-made foods currently have very little nutritional value, making you eat more in order to have enough strength to get over the day. When you are constantly consuming these foods, changing to grain and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more strength while consuming less. Great blog post.
