Far From A Fashionista

I’m currently 26 days away from my first competition and 19 days away from my magazine photo shoot! Wahooo!

I was also offered the opportunity to do another photo shoot this Wednesday! So many fun things are happening lately! The style for this shoot will be “fashion/glamour”. I honestly am not even sure what that means yet, haha. I went shopping for the shoot yesterday and bought a couple accessories to make my pictures more “fashionable”. I am not going to lie, I’m not the biggest fashionista, I”m more of a plain Jane kinda girl.

Here are some of the accessories I’m bringing.ย  Maybe some can work into a couple pictures.

I’m a huge fan of aviators and hats!ย  I hope they make the cut ๐Ÿ˜‰

I picked out 4-5 outfits from my wardrobe and sent them to the photographer so he can get a better idea on where he wants the location.

Hopefully we get some good pictures on Wednesday night!!! I’m excited ๐Ÿ™‚

As for my weekend, Friday night I went to the gym and worked glutes and hamstrings. After that, my boyfriend and I worked on the “Man-Barn“. It’s coming along…slowwwwwly.

Saturday I slept in…late! It felt amazing. The boyfriend and I did a late night workout on Saturday. I lifted shoulders, core and did 20 min of HIIT. I love lifting with him! I wish I always had a workout partner. Too bad our schedules don’t allow us to workout every day together. Boo ๐Ÿ™

Right after the gym on Saturday night, we went to a new Mexican place for my cheat meal! We went to On The Border. I had never been there but oh my goodness it was frickin amazing. Now that I think about it though, I feel like since I’ve been on competition prep, I will say ANYTHING that’s not chicken, eggs or veggies is the most unbelivable tasting thing. Take any of my food suggestions lately with that in mind ๐Ÿ˜‰ I tried a little bit of everything on the table but tried chicken flautas for the first time ever and they were delish!

After dinner we rented the DVD The Dictator. I’m not even going to waste my time talking about this movie. I’ll just say four words. TERRIBLE! DON’T WATCH IT!

I also spent some time sewing my competition sports wear costume! I surprised myself with my sewing skills I pulled outta my A$$!

Sunday was filled with grocery shopping, food prep and shopping for my shoot on Wednesday.

If you were to do a “fashion” photo shoot and you could wear anything in your wardrobe, what would you wear??

I think I’m going to go with the tight black dress and red heels type of look. What do you think?

On other exciting news, I dropped another pant size! I seriously can’t believe how much my body is changing.ย  I never imagined I’d be in a size zero.ย  Lifting weights and clean eating really does a body good!!!

I usually only buy Express work pants. I prefer to get the long length so I can wear heels but for some reason Express decided to stop selling many of them in their stores. Booooo Express!

It’s a rainy Monday over here today!ย  It was really hard to wake up this morning because it was pitch black outside.ย  I wanted to be like my puppy Mya, and keep sleeping but I gotta do what I gotta do!

She’s such a weirdo though..look how I caught her sleeping yesterday.

  1. Congrats!!!!! I’m sure you’ll look amazing in your shoot!

I’m a prof model and I love being in front of the camera ๐Ÿ™‚

I love how you are the living proof of eating well and lifting weights.. In the beginning I was so scared to lift because it would make me bulky.. (Not a good thing in front of the camera)

But now I now you just gotta push trough the inital stage until you start losing fat.. THANK you!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Do you mind me asking, how you are getting these photo shoot deals? Just word of mouth or knowing certain people?? I think it is awesome, reading your story from the very beginning and how you were timid and shy and now on to bigger and better things! I love it and that you have the courage to do so, good luck!!

  3. The black dress/red heels look is definitely hot! I say just wear what you feel the sexiest & most confident in and that will shine though! Me? I’d rock my best fitting pair of holey jeans with cowboy boots and white button-up shirt tied up. ; )
