Christmas In July

Ahhhh…it feels good to have another successful clean eating day under my belt.  I’m on a roll but yesterday wasn’t so easy.

I was tempted with cookie dough from my boyfriend!!  It was hard to pass it up, but I did.  I opted for some greek yogurt, carrots and celery instead. 

Thursday Time 7/12/12 Water
Meal 1 8:00 4 hard boiled egg whites, 1 slice Ezekiel toast, 1/2 oz box raisins, 1 TBS natural peanut butter, 16 oz coffee black 64
Meal 2 12:15 Spinach salad with turkey, broccoli, carrots, celery, peas, cucumber and 1 TBS balsamic vin. Dressing 12
Snack 3 1:30 3 low sodium rice cakes, 16 oz coffee black 32
Meal 4 3:20 Apple cinnamon protein muffin (homemade), 4 strawberries 12
  4:20 Gym (Shoulders/Abs), 10 min elliptical at level 11, 10 min on treadmill (12 mph sprints 20 sec on 40 sec off)  
Meal 5 6:00 GNC Meal Replacement Shake (GNC Total Lean shake meal replacement – Cookies & Cream) 12
Meal 6 9:30 Greek Yogurt (plain flavor), 3 oz celery/carrots, I packet Truvia 24
     Total Water Consumed: 156 oz

My workout yesterday was intense.  I Felt STRONG which was perfect for my shoulder/ab day which are the two areas I want to see the most improvement on.   I felt like I was lifting heavier and was on fiyaaa! 

I had an old man come up to me and start a really awkward conversation with me about how my arms are much longer than his because I was taller than him.  He said It was probably much harder for me to lift the weights because my arm span was so much longer.  He also asked me where my guns were.  I flexed my arm a little and he said “OH THERE THEY ARE” haha. 

It’s so funny getting random comments at the gym.  I swear the weirdest things occur between the walls of the gym.

After lifting, I did 10 minutes on the elliptical and 10 min sprints on the treadmill.  I did sprints at 12mph again!  I feel like a madwoman when I sprint that fast but it sure as heck kicks my butt!  I’m sure everyone thought I looked like a manic but I’m okay with that 🙂

I’m planning on doing a full workout dedicated to my booty today.  It’s a Savage workout called “Booty Lift”.   I heard it’s intense so i’ll probably have a hard time sitting for the next few days.

I am so glad it’s Friday!!! Finally!!!  We have plans to go to grill out and lay low tonight and then tomorrow I think we are going to some basketball tournament.

Saturday will be the hardest hard to stick to my 7 day goal of eating 100% clean, because I will be out and about.  I just need to plan ahead.

On a side note…I’ve been completely obsessed with Zappos.com lately.  I love that you can return anything so easily and everything ships so fast and free.   My brother got me hooked!  Online shopping is just too damn easy these days. 

These are a few things on my WANT list at the moment 🙂  Why is Christmas so far away?!? Wait a second..isn’t there something called “Christmas In July”???

 I also want some workout pants that aren’t black.  I feel like I always wear black pants.  These would be a nice change of pace.

Those are just a FEW of my wish list items.  This post would be way too long if I added them all.  If I had a million dollars…..my house would be FULL of shoes 🙂

  1. Hi erin! I just found your blog…I love it! Ah! I wish there really was a christmas in july! I have a bunch of books I want….along with some new workout clothes too. And i hate getting awkward/weird comments at the gym….just the other day this creepy guy told me i was “really fit” errrm thanks…..but….you’re gross haha
