I’m two days clean 🙂 I had another successful 100% clean eating day on Tuesday.  As I said in my post yesterday, I have declared a small goal for myself which is to eat 100% clean for 7 days straight. So far I’m 2/7 of the way there. I’m not too worried about the week days, it’s just the weekend that scares me!
Here’s an overview picture at most of the grub I had yesterday.
The highlight of my food for the day was definitely my favorite peanut butter protein cups  that I had before bed 🙂 YUMMMMMMY!
You can eat the whole frickin batch of them (12) and it wouldn’t be bad for you. That’s one reason why I love them besides how good they taste. I made them with casein protein this time. I used the O.N. Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor and OMG they are to diieeee for!
I switched my protein to casein for this recipe because I plan on eating them before bed. Casein protein is a great source of protein to have before bed because it is slow absorbing in your body and will feed your muscles while you sleep!!!
Another star was this crazy combo I came up with at lunch. I made a mixture of broccoli, tuna and 1 TBS of balsamic vinaigrette and it was actually pretty good! It gave both the broccoli and tuna some flava! You’ll probably see this combo again….soon..like tomorrow.
I also drank over a gallon of water on Tuesday, so I met that goal too. I am finding it REALLY easy to get in a gallon of water each day. Love it 🙂
After work I hit the gym for leg & core day. I did a variety of different exercises, including inverted leg press, leg extension, hamstring curls, side lunges, gorilla crunches, and some others. I lifted for about 40 minutes and then did an incline walk for 20 minutes on the treadmill.
I kept it simple and set the treadmill at 3mph and an incline of 8%.
In my hour at the gym, I was able to burn around 550 calories. Thank you to my Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor 🙂
Do you use a heart rate monitor when you workout? I don’t know what I’d do without mine. It’s my right hand man in the gym.
Now….I’m off to make Wednesday a 100% clean day as well!!!
I have been looking at heart rate monitors but haven’t purchased one yet. What aspect of it do you love the most?
And on a side note, love love love your blog!!! I feel as if I can relate to you on so many levels. You are very real with your thoughts/actions and it encourages me to know that I’m not the only person who struggles with the same things. Empowers me to press on and work towards the goals I set for myself.
Keep up the great work!!!! And remember that it’s a marathon, not a sprint! =)
Aww you’re so sweet 🙂 Thank you!!! I love my Polar heart rate monitor because it shows my heart rate so I know how hard I’m pushing or if I need to push harder. It also calculates calories based on heart rate which is so fun to know. I’m also a total IT nerd so I like gadgets and electronics 🙂
