Showing The Gym Who’s Boss

I’m not going to lie, I have days where I really don’t feel like going to the gym.  I also have days where I just want to show the gym who’s boss.  Yesterday was one of those days that I wanted to show the gym who’s boss.

After a pretty inactive weekend, I was ready to hit it hard after work yesterday.

I lifted arms and abs for about 45 minutes.  Some of my workouts were:

  • Incline dumbbell curls
  • Barbell curls
  • Tricep push-down
  • Tricep push-ups (or what would be tricep push-ups if I was better at them!!!)
  • Weighted incline sit-ups
  • Gorilla crunches
  • Dumbbell curls
  • Skull crushers
  • Ab machine crunch things ( I can’t remember the name of it)

After the gym, I decided to dust off my old Insanity DVDs and give one a shot.  I did a post earlier about the workout in detail.  You can see it HERE.

I have not been eating as well as I could be lately.  I haven’t been making all 5-6 meals a day, however I am keeping up with my gallon of water a day!  I think it’s because my schedule has been really messed up.

After traveling for the wedding this weekend, I think I’m going to set a date of July 1st to really hit it hard.

I’m the kind of person that needs a goal for myself in order to stay really focused so I want to set a new goal.

I’m going to try to go to Las Vegas in November with Team Savage to support the girls in Fitness America!!!  We also have 2 team photo shoots so I’ll have a goal to get my body “Savage Shoot” ready for November.  I am also thinking about scheduling an individual photo shoot in Vegas while the other girls are competing.

I think that would be a good goal for myself.

I’m still on the fence about competing.  I thought about trying to train for the Ohio Valley Natural Championships competition in October, but I just can’t make up my mind if competing is something I’d want to do!!!

Have you ever competed or thought about competing??

If you have competed, would you ever do it again?  I had never thought about it until I joined Team Savage.  Now I’m so inspired by all the girls who do it.  Those people who can dedicate themselves to training and dieting for that long prove that you can do anything! I would love to be able to prove to myself that this shy girl can get on statge in a bikini…I’m just not completely sure yet!  What do you think?
