I Ran Fast!

Last night, I went to the gym rockin’ my new Savage Girl shirt for the first time.  I don’t know what it is about wearing something new to the gym, but it makes me work extra hard.  It’s kind of like wearing a new outfit when you go out with your friends.  You get a new confidence or something…at least I do.

This picture was taken pre-workout.  You would NOT have wanted to see the aftermath of the hardest sprint workout to date.  I’ll get to that in a minute…

Not only was my shirt new, but I also got these new weight lifting gloves because I managed to lose one of my old ones the other day.  These new ones treated me pretty well.  They had much better pads on the palms than my last ones did.  Well…maybe my last ones were just too worn out.  I think it was about time for some new ones anyway.  

I’m sure it’s mental but I swear that wearing gloves when lifting makes me have a better lift! Anyone else? Anyone?

After I did my back workout, I hit the treadmill for 20 min of sprints.  Let me tell you….HARDEST AND FASTEST WORKOUT I’VE EVER PUT MYSELF THROUGH!!!

Basically, I maxed out the treadmill speed for my sprints.  I never thought I could sprint at 12mph until I tried last night.  I didn’t even know the treadmill had a maximum speed.  I seriously thought I was going to fly off the machine and splatter against the wall behind me like a bug against a windshield.

I proved myself wrong, and finished the workout!  The two girls on the treadmills next to me kept looking at my speed like I was a maniac…which was well deserved!

The majority of my sprints were at 12mph.  The rest were around 10-11 mph (which is still FAST AS HECK for me!!)  Maybe I’ll post the treadmill workout on my Cardio Page for any of you daredevils to try.  It’s by far the hardest workout I’ve ever posted though…we’ll see!

Today, I feel like I squatted a billion pounds.  My legs are so sore from that sprint workout.  I don’t think I’ve ever been this sore from the treadmill..soo crazy.  I may even have to take a day off from the gym because my upper and lower body  may be too sore to train. 

I got home and made some of my delicious Peanut Butter Protein Cups and called it a night 🙂
