Flipping The Barn

I have been completely swamped the past couple days, so I’m sorry for the lack of posts.  We started fixing up our Not-So-Mini Barn this past weekend.  When I bought my house, the previous owners had JUST built a brand new HUGE barn in the backyard. Some people may call it a shed..but it’s a shed on steroids.

It smelled like fresh wood when we moved in, with no marks on the floor or anything.  We are going to fix it up and make it a man-barn.  My bf doesn’t get a man-cave..he gets a whole man BARN.  Lucky him 🙂

We spent the weekend putting up insulation and coming up with our design of the space.  There were several trips to Lowes, Menards and Home Depot to get ideas.

I’m excited to get started on the project, but with us both working fulltime and hitting the gym every day…it will probably be a project that takes a LONG time.  I’ll keep you guys updated on our progress.

Anyway…I shared a little tip on my Facebook page yesterday…

Something that I like to do is use old baby food containers to store my salad dressing on the go.  I just pre-measure some dressing in a few jars on Sunday and then they are perfect for grab-n-go dressing during the week.  I don’t have a baby, but I do use baby food often in my clean recipes (because it’s healthier with less ingredients!).

Be sure to save these cute little jars next time you use them…if you want to use them for dressing 😉

As for my fitness, on Sunday I went for a jog around the neighborhood and I lifted shoulders and chest yesterday at lunch.  Today, I’m doing a glute workout that I’m hoping to get in at lunch.

I’ve been SOOOO swamped at work though, so I hope I can sneak away for some gym time!

Have a great Tuesday 🙂
