Good morning! I know I haven’t posted in a few days, but I’ve been sick! I’ve been taken down by some kind of bug this week. Luckily I was able to work from home on Monday and Tuesday, but I’m still not feeling all the way better now.
When I came to work on Wednesday…my coworker said “wow that must have been SOME bachelorette party!!!” Since it probably looked like I was just suffering from a 3 days hangover.
Let’s rewind back to Saturday morning…
I headed to Chicago for my friend’s bachelorette party. It started at the W Hotel Spa. I got off the elevator to the spa and saw the most beautiful city in the world in front of me. SO PRETTY. I know I’ve said this a million times, but nothing beats Chicago in the summer.

And the walls weren’t really black..my phone camera just blows. It was so pretty in there.
After the spa we all headed back to get ready for the night. I got this adorable dress at White House Black Market on Friday. I had never been to this store and I’m already obsessed. Here’s the link to the dress. It fit like a glove and was really comfy too! I also bought the belt seperately there. They worked together perfectly.
There’s nothing like feeling confident in your body and clothes when you go out! <3 I felt great!
We went to the bride to be’s hotel for a lingerine shower and drinks first. She got a TON of cute stuff. Do brides REALLY wear all that lingerine? I highly doubt it. Is it weird when you put on something on your honeymoon and accidentaly say “Erin bought me this sexy thong!!”. Wouldn’t that ruin the “moment”?? Just sayin…. I know I would do something like that!
We went to Mexican dinner afterwards and it was oh so good!
The night continued with going to several bars..one of which had a stripper pole….there were legit strippers dancing on the pole when we got there…and no we didn’t end up at a strip club…just a regular Chicago bar!
I felt bad for our bride to be becuase the DJ made her get up on stage too.

Then…..Sunday came and I went to my Mom’s for Mother’s Day. I was feeling fine all day until about 8pm and I started to feel REALLY nauseous. The next few days looked a little bit like this….
How cute is my puppy Doberman? My boyfriend took a picture of me sleeping and she was totally spooning me. She was just making sure her momma was feeling okay 😉 I love her!
Looks like it was a wonderful bachelorette party! I have been to Chicago three times now, always in the summer and I am still cold. I guess it is my Florida blood, or maybe the wind off the lake? Either way, I always have to bring a light jacket with me.

Oh girl..it’s like 80 degrees there now!!! I hope you’re not cold in 80 degrees! You’re right though because there’s always a nice breeze off the lake. To me, it’s perfection!
Wow, 80 degrees! That IS perfect weather. Maybe I always go during a cold spell? I always seems to end up on Navy Pier at night in a sundress, so maybe it is the wind.
CUTEE dress. I love white house/black market. I got my bridal shower dress there so amazing!

You should go! It was great because you can go with a group and have a pre-set $ amount for each person. They bring out a ton of different tacos and guac and stuff to try 🙂 mmmm yummm
