Crossing My Fingers!

So I’m just too excited, nervous & anxious about something that I can’t hold it in anymore. I’ve gotta tell ya! About a month ago, one of my best girlfriends entered a contest for us to win a girls vacation to the Bahamas. We obviously didn’t think anything would come out of it…until we made it to the semi-finals!!! We submitted a huge questionnaire and what do ya know?? We were selected to the finals!!!

We were asked to submit a video to them and we completed that last night. We just got another notice from them saying we made it to the FINAL STEP which is a skype interview tonight. I’m sooooo nervous!!!! I want to win this trip soooo badly!

Not only is this a 7 day trip to the Bahamas on the line, it’s also to film a commercial!!!!!!!!! The Bahamas is trying to launch a new advertising campaign where they want every day people to be featured in it. HOLY CRAP…I still can’t believe we were selected as finalists. This seems so unreal.

I never win anything..so I can’t get my hopes up…but I have to keep a positive attitutde and hope for the best!

I believe that the final decision is based on our interview as well as our videos (which they will post somewhere online soon). They are also going to have the public vote on who they like best based on the videos! I’ve gotta hope for a lot of votes and put on my game face tonight and rock the interviewer’s socks off!

CROSSING MY FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

So back to reality…I’ve been eating VERY clean lately. I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made since I joined Team Savage 🙂 Here’s a look at my nutrition from yesterday.

Here are some pictures of some foods I’ve been dominating this week. I eat so often and I loooooove every second of it!  My metabolism is on fiya!

I've been bringing a premade meal to work every day with a protein, starch, veggie and fruit on the side. SO easy to just grab and go when you prep your food on Sundays!!!

Protein Pancakes with Strawberries on top!

One of my new favorite whey proteins! Jay Robb's brand. Pina Colada was really good!

Mini CLEAN pizzas!!! I'm a huge fan!

Boring old chicken and side salad with natural mango dressing

I have found the only way I can keep eating chicken is if it’s shredded.  I like it soooo much better when it’s shredded.  I don’t know why, but whatever! I need to continue this tradition of putting a ton of chicken in the crock pot on Sundays so I can divide it out throughout the week.

Since I started this whole clean eating and Savage workout thing…I’ve seen some great changes in my body.  I feel like I’m finally tightening up.  I know that everyone always says that abs are made in the kitchen…well now I believe it because I’m becoming happier and happier with my core which has always been my biggest problem area!

I feel like a lot of girls say that their problem area is also their stomach or their legs.

Do you have one specific problem area that you focus on the most?
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could really spot reduce in a specific area?!?!  Only in the perfect world, ladies!

Happy Friday Eve everyone!!!

  1. Congrats on the Bahamas contest! I never win anything either, so I totally hope you win this!!

Great job with your meals so far this week. I am noticing that you are adding more bulk to your foods (by adding low calorie veggies). That means your metabolism is cranked into high gear and burning through the fuel your giving it. My “meal plan” (if you can call it that, since it’s more of a lifestyle at this point), is based upon nutritious whole foods as well. I love, love, love fruits and vegetables! So it is nice to see another lady that is eating whole foods and getting great results.

In response to your question, my problem area is my thighs. That is where my body likes to store fat. I guess I can thank my mother for that! 😉

My matabolism IS in high gear, you’re right. I wish I could say the same about veggies…I’m LEARNING to like them. Baby steps!
