Eat Clean and Train Hard

If you follow my Facebook page, you knew how incredibly sore I was at the end of last week.  It was insane..literally.  It was from weight training and doing Insanity at the same time.  That’s quite the workout except it left me limping around the house and my poor BF got to hear a lot of “ooooo”,  “ahhhh!!” & “OH SH!*”!!! type of noises when I moved any area of my body.

I thought it would be a good idea to take the weekend off to give my body the time it needs to recover.  I took off Friday-Sunday and now I feel like a million bucks again.  I’m going to hit it hard again today.

My parents came in town this weekend which was another reason why I didn’t want to go to the gym.  I don’t get to see them a lot, so it was nice to have some QT with them.  We ended up hanging out at my place, going to Outback Steakhouse for dinner, giving them a tour of our downtown area and then going to the casino!

I am the worst gambler so I left that to my mom and BF.  My BF ended up winning a little bit but my mom wasn’t as lucky.  Darn!

After the parents went to bed, my BF and I went out to celebrate an old college friend’s birthday.  There was a lot of flippy cup and Sink The Biz played.  If you went to Indiana University, you’d know what Sink The Biz is 😉  If you didn’t, then consider yourself unlucky!

I need to get started back on the right track and get back to clean eating and training hard.  This morning started off with some whole wheat oats & natural peanut butter.  Yummy!

I almost forgot…I also went to Lululemon on Sunday because I keep hearing how amazing their workout pants are.  I tried on the Astro pants and I absolutely loved the fit.  I love that they are super long and they will tailor them for free in the store.  I am a tall girl (5’7″) and I can never find workout pants that are long enough.

I checked out the price tag and chickened out.  They were like $80 something bucks!!!!  I’ve had a lot of people tell me that they will last for YEARS but I just couldn’t open my wallet for that one.

They did make my booty look amazeballs though!

Have you ever been to Lululemon? Do you think their clothes are worth the price?

As I was leaving for work this morning, Max and Mya had a little something they wanted to share with everyone.  Aren’t they the most motivational Dobermans?

Have a great Monday everyone! Like Max and Mya said, Eat Clean & Train Hard this week!

  1. I walked into a Lululemon store and it just looked like workout clothes for people who like to spend a lot of money.. I couldn’t do it. I will stick to Target workout pants.. I don’t need to be fashionable when I work out.

    That is just me tho.

  2. I’ve never done Lululemon,I can’t believe their prices! Though both my sisters are on their bandwagon! I get lots from 6pm.com and Old Navy online ( http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=5508) always has stuff. Their tights are long enough for me (I’m 5’10”) and their pants come in Tall. They rotate their Tall inventory (and all their Active line for that matter) so just check back. They have great compression stuff!
