I’ve Been Sore For 3 Months

When you start a workout plan, you think you’ll be sore in the beginning of the plan, and the soreness will eventually go away. When you do the LiveFit trainer, that’s completely untrue!

I’ve been sore for 3 months now. I’ve been trying to stretch a ton lately, and have even noticed that I’ve become more flexible. Sweet. That wasn’t something I was expecting but I’ll take it! With my soreness, I feel like I walk around like an old lady…but hey..this old lady is flexible now!

I can barely walk from my darn leg day on Monday. I have grown to learn to like being sore because it tells me my workouts are working, however it’s a bit annoying when it’s been 3 months of soreness! The reason I’m so sore is because the LiveFit trainer changes up the reps/sets/weight every 2 weeks so that the program is always changing and challenging your body in different ways.

The number one biggest mistake a lot of people make is continueing to do the same thing over and over and OVER again. This may work for the time being but eventually you’ll see NO change. That’s why you always see the same people at the gym who come in, run on the treadmill and leave. Their bodies are so used to this and aren’t challenged.

Do your body a favor and change up your routine every 2-3 weeks!

I completed Day 79 – Back/Abs/Cardio yesterday after work. I did 3 rounds of this circuit but I did skip 2 sets of deadlifts and hyperextensions because my hamstrings were killing me and I didn’t want to do anything that would partially work them. The weight lifting portion took me less than 30 minutes and then I hopped on the treadmill for 35 minutes. I did a mixture of sprints/jogging/walking.  In total, I worked out for 1:02 and burned 575 calories.

Do you make sure to change up your routine every couple weeks, or do you find yourself sticking to the same things? I used to do the same routine all the time.  I would be that girl who went to the gym to run on the treadmill at a 5.7mph pace for 20 min and then call it a day.  Obviously I never saw much change in my body.
