Before I get to my puppy surprise….let me rewind to the beginning of Christmas weekend.
I headed back to Chicago on Friday and grabbed some Portillo’s with my Mom. If you’ve ever lived around Chicago, you know and probably love Portillo’s. If you ever travel there, go there!
I went out Friday night with my friends. Ended up staying out till the sun came up pretty much. I had a blast though. It’s so great seeing friends who I don’t get to see very often. Here’s one of the only pics I got from that night. It’s me (left) and two of my girlfriends.
Please excuse the white eyes. I look a bit creepy.
Saturday I woke up with a wonderful hangover that lasted 2 days. I hate the side effects of getting older.
Sunday was Christmas and I was very blessed. I got a ton of clothes, 2 jackets, shoes, kitchen stuff, book, and an awesome David Yurman bracelet from my dad!
Check out these crazy Nikes my bro got me. I love the style so much. I’m a little unsure about the polka dot look they have going on though…
Leave it to my bro to find pink polka dot Nikes…
Monday I drove back home. When I got home, my boyfriend was totally rushing me for some reason. He kept saying “let’s just hurry up and exchange gifts”…literally before I even sat down. I kept saying give me a few minutes, I need to do a couple things. He eventually persuaded me to just get right to the gifts.
We exchanged a few gifts and then he gave me a box. I opened it and it had a Tiffany’s box in it. Of course I got excited when I saw that box. I opened it up and it had a silver chain looking piece of jewelery in it. I said something like “This is pretty….but….what…IS it?” It was too long for a bracelet and too short for a necklace.
He said “You don’t like it?”
I said “No, it’s not that, I do!!!”
and then he said…okay well if you don’t like that one, maybe you’ll like what I have in the barn for you.
We walked outside in the back yard and he told me to wait outside the barn (We have a HUGE shed..that we call a barn). He came out with a puppy Doberman for me!!!
The jewelery inside the Tiffany’s box was really my new puppy’s collar. She is soooo precious.
We already have a male doberman named Max, so this will be our second.
I have yet to figure out a name for her. Any suggestions? I want a strong and fierce female name. So far I like the names: Aleka (means defender) , Mya, Mia, Kenzie, Xena and Mitzie. What do you think?
Here are some of the pics I took of her yesterday.
I am so in love with her already!!!!
She was born on 10/27/11. She is 8 weeks old.
As for my workouts, I was able to squeeze two of them in over break. Day 68 and Day 69 of the Jamie Eason trainer. I don’t have time to go into much detail about them but they were the same as Days 61 and 62.
