Scrabble Art

Here we go again….hello Monday.

Fortunately it’s the week before Christmas so that means we have some days off work in the future..unfortunately I’m going to be totally busy this week to prepare for Xmas and head back to Chicago.

I had a nice weekend. We were supposed to go to my boyfriend’s Christmas party on Friday night but we ended up deciding against it. We ended up working out and watching the movie The Help instead.  I was excited to see the movie since I read the book.  It was good.  I always seem to like the book a little better though.  Maybe it’s because my images I create in my head for the book are exactly how I want it to look like.  Who knows? Either way..the book and movie were good!

Saturday we went out to a few bars with some friends. We stayed till the bars closed and had some after hours at a friend’s place. Long but fun night.

As for my workouts, Friday I completed Day 64 – quads/calves right after work. It was the same workout as Day 57. It was a little bit easier the second time around. I dominated all of my jump ropes this time. I didn’t mess up once. Usually the rope will hit my feet once or twice but this day I rocked the rope. No mess ups for me. I guess in total, that’s about 550 jumps without a mistake 🙂

I spent some time this weekend messing around with my camera and managed to take this awesome picture.  I love the background lights of my Christmas tree.  I think it’s telling me something when the first word that comes to my mind is LiveFit (the 12 week trainer I’m doing).

Saturday afternoon I finished Day 65 – Back, Arms, Abs & Sprints. We went out and ate a huge Mexican lunch about 2 hours before this workout and I was still STUFFED doing this workout. I don’t like that. Nothing like burping up chips and salsa mid sit-up.

Because I was feeling a bit nauseous just from the cardio of the lifting portion of the workout, I was nervous about my sprints. I headed to the treadmill thinking I’d just walk at an incline for a while because that’s better than nothing. I parked at a treadmill and a documentary on Tim Tebow was on. If you read my blog you know I’m a huge lover of Timmy. This documentary seriously made me push myself harder. I remember seeing the intensity of Tim’s workouts and then looked at myself walking and said “Seriously?? Let’s pick it up!” So I walked at an incline of about 4% at about 4.0 for 15 minutes and then did sprints for the last 15 minutes. I did about 8 sprints at 8-8.5mph and then 6 at 10mph and the last one at 11mph. 11 mph is probably the fastest I can run. I was worried I was gonna fly off the treadmill at that speed!

Thanks for the motvation, Timmy. ‘Preciate that 🙂

Saturday’s Day 65 workout took me about an hour and a half and I burned 742 calories.

Sunday was a rest & recover from my hangover day.  It was a bad day for football for me.  My Bears and Broncos both lost 🙁

I made this awesome picture on Sunday. It’s going to be a gift for my parents. It has our names all tied together through scrabble pieces. I matted it and framed it in a shadow box. I think it turned out fabulous. I’m actually going to make another one for another family member this week because it turned out so cute.

What do you think?

I have so much to do this week to prepare for Christmas.  I need to make a list and start organizing everything that has to get done.  Have a great Monday!
