Happy Thanksgiving

Oh hellooo there 🙂 Happy Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  Are you hungry yet for Turkey?

This is what Max looks like when we say the word “hungry?” 

Yesterday I went home for lunch and picked up a salad from Kroger on the way.

It had a bit of turkey, lettuce, crutons, strawberries, cranberries, grapes and some low fat french dressing.  It totally hit the spot and I never say that about salads.

As I was eating my doorbell rang.  It was the UPS man! I think it would be fun to be a UPS man around the holidays.  Everyone is always so happy to see them.  He even brought our newspaper up from the bottom of our driveway.  What a nice man.

He had two boxes for me….wooohoo!

The first one was a HUGE box of Myoplex protein shakes! WHAT THE HECK!? I love you EAS! I don’t remember requesting a sample of these, but now I’m surely thankful I did.  Ryan was so confused why I got a box of protein shakes in the mail…I just told him I have my ways 🙂 I still don’t know what those ways are though because I don’t know how they arrived at my door.  Win for me!

The second box was my new REBEL T3 CAMERA. I mentioned in an earlier post that I had been eyeing this camera down…well I caved in and bought it.  I played around with it a bunch and am so excited to learn how to use it.  I also bought an eye-fi card which transfers all your photos wirelessly to your PC..no more cords and uploading for this girl!

After work I hit the gym and did Day 45 – Chest/Abs/Cardio.  The whole workout took 1:15 and I burned 475 calories.  My cardio was the treadmill for 30 min at a slowwwww 3.7 with 3 incline.  Same as always to stay in my medium intensity heart rate zone.

Here was my workout for the day:

When I was leaving the gym…one of the trainers yelled to me “Great job on those pull-ups!”.  I smiled and said “THANKS!” as I walked out the door.  Then I got in my car and realized I didn’t even do any pull-ups..so she must have had me confused with someone else.  Oh well haha I took the compliment with a smile 🙂  Thanks trainer lady.

I used a 16lb medicine ball for the weighted crunches.  Those got tough by the end of 25 reps.  I liked the burn though.  I didn’t like doing the reverse crunch on the bench.  Note to self: never wear shorts when doing this exercise..you’ll flash everyone and their mother at the gym.  Wear pants next time.

After work today I’m heading back home to Chicago.  Thanksgiving morning I’m running a 5k with my friends and my DAD! Thanksgiving I will spend with my Mom, maybe do a little shopping on friday and go out in the city on Friday with my girls 🙂 Can’t wait to party it up with my girls in Chicago 🙂  I’m going to try to eat healthy this weekend..but I highly doubt that I’ll be able to turn down Chicago pizza or cornbread on T-Day.
