I’m officially one year older since the last time I posted. Bummer. My birthday was on Sunday so I got to celebrate on Saturday night and Sunday. We ended up going to Ryan’s hometown again (two weekends in a row is some kind of record I think) and crashed a wedding reception to start the night off. I have to admit there are some benefits of small towns….crashing a wedding reception and having it completely acceptable is one of the few perks I’ve found.
We went out to the bars with friends and woke up Sunday morning to a nice country breakfast cooked by Ryan’s mom. Biscuits and gravy. YUMMMMMY.
I was a lucky girl this birthday. I got flowers from my mom and my boyfriend 🙂
I also got some goodies left on my desk at work. I felt very loved 🙂
Sunday night Ryan and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner. We had never been and always wanted to check it out. It was fun…but expensive. I’m all about being frugal and a $100 dinner for two (that’s WITH my $25 off coupon!) is a bit much. The highlight of the dinner was the chocolate fondue desert. I know…I know…this is NOT right to be eating when trying to follow the JE LiveFit program, but it was my birthday and I put all diets aside and lived it up. Damn it was good desert!!! I rolled outta that place in a food coma. Happy bday to me!
Besides all the stuffing of my face on my birthday and celebrating the night before, I did manage to get two workouts in. I was exhausted on Friday night and decided to fall asleep early instead of going to the gym. After hitting the gym 6 times a week and working full time, I was in need of a nap. I woke up Saturday morning and decided to “double up” my sessions at the gym.
I never ever ever want to double up a workout again. It was wayy too much! I was at the gym for almost two and a half hours trying to get two workouts in. The first workout I did was Legs – Day 41 and Arms/Abs/Cardio – Day 43
I do admit…I didn’t completely finish day 43. I skipped the last 2 ab exercises because my boyfriend hurt his back when he was playing basketball. I had to take his gimpy butt outta there. Just kidding..I hope he’s okay! Back issues are never good.
Now that I’m in week 7, I’m HALF WAY DONE with the trainer. Woohoo! It feels like I’ve been doing it for 4 months though. One exercise that was sorta new was Barbell Curl 21’s.
Barbell curls aren’t new, but figuring out what weight to grab when doing 21 reps was a bit different. I managed to do my two sets with a 20lb dumbell for 21 reps. My biceps were on fire!
Here’s my treadmill action. Walked at about 3.7 at a incline of 3.
Here were my polar stats from my 2:17 hour visit to the gym. That’s a lot of calories burned!!! I love to see calories over 1000 though 🙂
I kept my heart rate around 140 which is about 70% of my maximum and ideal for fat burning!
What is the longest you’ve ever spent at the gym?
Mine may be this one…2 hours and 17 minutes..plus locker room time.
Don’t forget to enter my giveaway!!! It’s over on Wednesday!!!
