Grabbin the bull by it’s horns!

Saturday and Sunday were the worst cheat days I’ve had since the program started. I ate soo terrible!

We woke up on Saturday and headed back to the gym. Going to the gym on a Saturday morning is also awesome beause everyone was still probably nursing their hangovers from their Friday night activities. The gym was pretty empty around 10am. I wish everyone had to nurse their hangovers on weekdays around 4:30pm too! 🙂

It was day 36 – Back, Abs and Cardio day. The workout was fine. My hardest part is the pull-ups. I used the assisted pull-up machine. There’s no way I could do a full pull-up with out any weight assistance. Maybe some day though….

After my 45 min lifting session I did an incline walk for 30 min. I tried to keep my heart rate around 140bpm, however my heart rate monitor decided to start sucking on me. It was working fine until miwday through the workout when it decided my heart rate was only at 58. I don’t even have a resting HR of 58, so it was really whacked out. It stayed at 58-65 for the majority of my workout. I hope it’s not broken!!!! I’m gonna give it another try today and hopefully it was just having a bad day.

On the treadmill, I watched the MSU vs Iowa football game and a little bit of CNN news. The news had an interesting topic about how more and more people are putting their Klout score on their resumes. I had no idea what a Klout score was until then. The higher your klout score is, the more influencial you are through social media. It’s between 1-100. The amount of Twitter followers, tweets, re-tweets, mentions, facebook friends and posts you have will all influence your score. The higher your score, the more influencial you are socially. I thought this was crazy!! I seriously can’t believe anyone would put this on their resume. It made me wonder what my klout score was though. I’d probably get around a 60. I’m ALWAYS on FB and Twitter and all that. I’m a social media junkie these days 🙂

After the gym we headed to Ryan’s hometown for a wedding. We picked up Arby’s on the way there (cheat #1). The wedding was nice and a reception\dinner followed (cheat #2). We then went out with his hometown friends on Sat night and mucho cervezas were consumed (cheat#3). We went to 4 different bars. The most fun I had was at one that had the theme of Western night going on. I wish I would’ve known so I could’ve dressed up. Apparently Ryan got the memo though.

The guys decided to make me a bit more “Western” by tying a bandana on my head.  Sorry boys, I’m not sure that did it…you gave me more of a tribal look.

The picture above cracks me up.  Who can’t take advantage of an area with saddles and bull sculls.  Perfect picture op!!!  That’s my friend and I being redic.

Sunday morning, Ryan’s mom cooked up a big feast for breakfast (Cheat #4).  I can’t turn down my boyfriend’s mom’s cooking.  It’s just too darn good!!

Sunday night we went to watch the Bears game at Chili’s (Cheat #5).  BEARS beat the Lions..wait hold on..they KILLLLLED the Lions 🙂  So excited.  Hester, you rock!

So besides all the beer consumption and 5 cheat meals, I had a pretty active weekend.  You win some, you lose some.  I guess the weekend won this time.

Have you ever heard of a Klout score before? Would you ever include it on your resume?

  1. It’s so hard to not cheat on Saturday and Sunday!! I hate the gym (which is why i bought a treadmill for home) because so many people are there right after work or before and it drives me crazy! I can’t do a pull up on my own either, its so hard!!! Looks like you had a blast though!!
