This weekend was a blast. LOVED having one extra day in the weekend. I honestly think we should just work a couple extra hours a day so that we could always have Fridays off. There’s no need to work so many days!
Friday night we went out on the South side of Indy to meet up with a couple friends. It was a good time, stayed out until the bars closed, but nothing to crazy. Saturday I slept in until about noon I think. I love that I’m able to sleep so late. I’m not the type of person who gets into that “routine” and her body wakes up at 6:45am every morning. When I lay in bed, I sleep.
Woke up on Saturday and went shopping for an outfit to wear the the Indy 500 on Sunday. I bought some cute khaki shorts from Aeropostale and a grey tanktop from Vanity. Simple but cute. I stayed in on Saturday night but didn’t get to sleep until about 1 because the BF was out at the bars and I can’t sleep until he gets home safely. I know, I’m like a paranoid mother. I hate that!
There was no need to go out Saturday, and I wish I would’ve went to bed earlier than 1, because we woke up at 3:45 am to go to the Indy 500 track!!! When I found out we were leaving at 4:30am, I couldn’t believe it. The only time I wake up that early is to go on vacation. I was tired, but fought through it. After a few beers I forgot how early it was. Danica didn’t win, she got 6th place. Too bad! The one famous person everyone always tells me I look like is Danica Patrick. Surprisingly, I didn’t get called it to much at the race on Sunday.
The rain held off so I guess my rain dance worked. I’ll have to keep dancing for next weekend though…

My eating was crap all weekend. It was filled with tailgate foods, pizza and fast food. Oops. I gotta get back on track because this coming weekend is the weekend I’ve been training for!! I’ll explain more later, but I’m doing SURVIVOR in Kentucky!!!! So excited and nervous!!
nice! I really love the dude with the beer spilled all over him. We’ve lived here 5 years and never gone to the race yet but we may try to go next year. Looks like a great time.
haha yeah that may have been why every guy had their shirts off..to much spilled beer on them. You’ve gotta check out the race next year!
Glad you had an awesome weekend! It’s cool that people tell you that you look like Danica Patrick. She made Maxim’s Hot 100 list. I know this because I did spend hours on my couch and happened to catch that VH1 special probably three times… ha ha
