Running in the Morning

Sorry I didn’t post yesterday, work has been busy and my spray tanning business is starting to pick up as it gets warmer out.  I’ll try to post as much as I can.

Last weekend I went to Chicago right after work on Friday.  The drive took about 3 1/2 hours.  One thing I DON’T miss about the Chi is the stupid traffic. This girl could live without dealing with that and Chi-town construction forever.

Friday night my friends and I went to Crossroads.  They always have an awesome deal on Friday nights.  It’s $20 for all you can drink and eat! That’s awesome anywhere, especially being in Lincoln Park in Chicago!  We watched the Blackhawks kick ASS.  We went to the Wrigleyville area afterwards and I ended up staying out with one of my friends until 4am.  Gosh I don’t know how I do it sometimes.  I was painfully tired after driving from Indy to Chicago, somehow the beer must have had some kinda energy in it because I wasn’t even close to being tired at 3am!

Saturday afternoon came around…I was feeling like poop…so the only logical thing to do is to get Chicago style pizza.  MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmMMMmmmmmmmm Art Of Pizza you made my life complete once again!!!  Words can’t even describe my mouthgasim that I experienced.

Warning: Please do not attempt to eat your computer screen at this time.

Saturday night I headed back to my moms to spend some QT with her for the mother’s day weekend.  I picked up some of my favorite hometown mexican and headed to her house.  I stayed in Saturday night and it felt good.  Enough partying for me from Friday.  Sunday we grilled out and made burgers, corn on the cob and baked potatoes.  It’s the go-to meal that she has almost every time we go there.  We usually give her a hard time but in reality it’s a good dinner…it’s just expected that’s what we’re gonna get when we go there.  It’s either burgers or steak..plus the same sides.  Thanks Mom!

Monday started with a cafeteria cup of fruit.

Lunch was Subway – Chicken breast with honey mustard and baked Lays.

For dinner, I attempted to make lasagna for the very first time.  It was a success.  I made Chicken lasagna instead of beef and used low fat ricotta cheese, fat free mozzarella cheese and low sodium pizza sauce.  It was awesome and the BF even loved it.  That always means it was really good!

Check out this cheesy dish of heaven…

Lots of left overs left, so I’ll probably have that for dinner tonight.  Or maybe lunch today…naaa that will probably put me to sleep at my desk this afternoon.

Last night I hopped on the treadmill for about 2 miles.  I attempted to do my interval circuit I did the other day, except I changed it this time to be at an incline of 1.  Bad Idea Erin.  I only made it to 15 minutes before I walked the rest.  Oh well..that’s what I get for eating like a lard ass all weekend and excessively loading my body full of booze.

So I went to bed and decided I’d wake up earlier than normal and try to run again in the morning.  I’ve NEVER done this before.  I like my sleep and like to sleep up until the last second before I have to wake up for work.  I also get nervous that my face will be to red at work.  Well, I stuck to my word and woke up at 6am this morning and hopped on the treadmill for 20 minutes.  I ran just over 2 miles and my face was bright red.  I showered and got ready in hopes it would simmer down a little.  Just a note, I always shower at night, so showering in the morning and getting ready seemed so much harder when it’s 6:30am.  I got to work and my face was still read but I realized that it’s okay because no one even shows up until a little later.  I got to work by 7:30 and by  my 9am meeting, I was in the clear (or at least I hope….I didn’t see anyone giving me the weird eye).

All in all, my workout this morning was a success!  I like knowing that I’ve already worked out today!  I think it’s making me hungrier than normal though since my body isn’t used to it.

Sorry about the long post, but I had a few days to catch up on!  Have a great Tuesday!!!
