Eggs In A Mug & Butt Lady

I went back to When Eddie Met Salad for lunch yesterday.  It was about time for an awesome salad.  McDonald’s salads have treated me well this week, but it was time to bring in the big guns.  On the radio today I heard that there was an E. Coli outbreak in lettuce this week and have made 19 people sick!!  It scared me hearing this at first, until I realized I don’t feel sick at all.  I think I’m in the clear. Pheeeeeewww…

Back to my salad..it was superb as always.  Mixed Greens, carrots, corn, strawberries, green olives and fat free french dressing.  It came with a piece of bread.

At work, they sometimes have vendors come in and sell stuff in the middle of our building.  This time it was the chocolate people! Gosh they had sooooooo much great stuff and everything smelled so good.  I was going to try to avoid it at all costs, but then my boss asked if I wanted to go check it out with her.  She bought a bunch of stuff for her family, but I resisted somehow.  I have no clue how because I’m a sucka for chocolate!

For dinner I made Eggs In A Mug.  I just used Egg Beaters and Turkey Bacon and popped it in the microwave for a couple minutes.  I’ve never cooked eggs in the microwave, but it tasted the same and was a bazillion times easier to make.  Less dishes too!  I topped it with some ketchup of course.

We then headed off to my BF’s home town to his stepdad’s bday party at a bar.  Man oh man, his family is full of characters.  His mom gets hired to do this thing she calls “butt lady”, where she comes in dressed up as an old lady with a mask on and a fake butt hanging out of her pants.  People hire her to do birthday parties in her town.  She comes in the party all dressed up with a huge bag in her hands. She sits the bday person down and gives them tips and things they should know when growing older.  She’s done this dozens of times in the past, but last night, it was her man’s turn. 

We all met at the bar and she was scheduled to do a “butt lady” performance so he dropped her off at the door and parked the car.  When he came in, all of us jumped up and yelled SURPRISE.  The Butt Lady, aka my boyfriend’s MOM, sat him down in the front of the room and started to open her bag of goodies.  From diapers, to Viagra to dildos, she had it all in that bag.  They aren’t shy to say ANYTHING and I love it.  It was my first time seeing her Butt Lady performance, and it was just as good as I hoped.  Here’s a picture of the bday man trying on a diaper so he “knows how to use it when the time comes”.

While all this madness was going on, they had a ton of free food.  I gave in and had a thing of nachos.  So delish.

This grandma actually got home at a reasonable hour last night! I was so surprised the BF left with me as soon as I said I was ready to go.  Usually he’s so hard to drag outta the bar to go home!

Today is finally Friday!!!  I’m heading back to Chicago this weekend to see my friends and family for Mother’s Day.  Hopefully the 3 hour drive tonight won’t be too terrible. My old roommate said there’s a ton of construction around Chicago right now, so I may be in for a much longer drive than expected.  Yuck.  My friends and I are going out tonight in the Chi to watch the Chicago Blackhawks game.  GO HAWKS!
