Courage & Valor

Monday morning started with an english muffin and light french onion Laughing Cow cheese.  I’ve recently ventured out to try the other flavors of laughing cow cheese beside the original swiss flavor and so far I really like the french onion as well.  It’s so great for only 35 calories!

Lunch consisted of  my recent obsession, Which Wich again.  Went with the usual turkey sandwich with swiss, baked lays and a diet coke.

I had plans for dinner to cook something up but the BF called and asked if I wanted him to pick me up some KFC on the way home.  I figured why not.  I went with the twister wrap with no tomatos or sauce.  It just had chicken, cheese (i think) and lettuce.  On the side I swapped out the potato wedges with mashed potatoes with no gravy.  It was pretty dang good.

The night was filled with hanging low with the BF and watching lots of sports and TV.  I really wanted to Shred, but ended up being a lazy ass instead.

I really need to get my butt up and active.  The only exercise I’ve done in the past week is my 5k on Saturday.  Before that, I don’t think I worked out since the previous Tuesday.  One thing I dislike about organized racing, is that they are always on the weekend only.  There are RARELY any races you’ll see during the week night.  I was searching on indyrunners.org and found that there is a FIREFIGHTER run this Thursday at 6pm downtown Indy along the canal.  First thought was..ummmm HELL YEAH!!! A bunch of hot fireman running along with me will get my ass running fast for SURE.  It’s called the Courage & Valor Run.  Apparently Indy is hosting the FDIC (Fire Department Instruction Conference) this week and it will be flooded with firemen.  The run is 5K so it’s totally doable for me.  What do you guys think, should I do it?  I’m also contemplating the Race to Wrigley on Saturday.  That’s 3 races in a week!!!  Who am I right now?? Maybe I should just pick one out of the Fire fighters or Wrigley.

  1. I’m leaning towards the Race to Wrigley… but that’s just because I’m slightly bias… 😉

And I know how you feel about feeling bummish after not being active for a while. I hardly moved at all last night and am actually impatiently looking forward to working out tonight!
