Tax Day Specials

Hump day started with a green apple and an amazingly delicious oatmeal cookie that my boss made.  It was so good and made me wanting to make my own.  I’m sure her batch was filled with all the fatty shmatty ingredients, but maybe I can find a healthy version.  Anyone have any good oatmeal cookie recipes and low cal?

Yes, that is a pager in my picture.  It’s for work.  I’m on call this week and have to keep this hideous pager on me at all times.  This will be my first weekend on call, which is so inconvienient since I’m running my first 5k and have a bridal shower all day/night Saturday.  I hope I don’t get paged in the middle of my run or in the middle of my drunk!!

For lunch I went back to good ol’ W.G. Grinders once again.  I brought the same coupon I gave my boyfriend the day before (buy one sandwich, get one free) and I got one to eat at lunch and brought one home for dinner.  My lunch sub was a light chicken salad grinder.  It’s nice because they use miracle whip on their light version, so it’s healthier.  It was decent.

My dinner sub was the tuna sandwich that they made with italian dressing mixed in, instead of mayo.  Another decent sub, but nothing compares to the glorious pepperoni sub I had there before.

I also had two eggo waffles & sugar free syrup later on at night.  I was lazy yesterday.  I took a long nap and got caught up on my trashy reality tv shows.  My all time favorite reality tv show are the challenges on MTV.  The most recent one is called Fresh Meat 2.  I get so into these stupid challenges.  I love the competition and drama.  My money is on Wes because he seems to know how to play the game, or Landon just because he’s a freak of nature of an athlete and plays the game just to compete, not to play the “alliance” game.  I get so into these competitions that I’ve been known to have dreams that I’m on the challenges…yeah laugh it up.  I seriously do though! It’s insane.  Almost every season I have one or two dreams that are of vivid detail and I’m competing with the real world peeps to win some type of challenge.  Maybe it’s a sign that I need to sign up for Real World…wait a minute…I may be above the age limit…what’s the age limit for these classy shows anyway? I may have 2 more years..haha okay I’m getting a little carried away…

Today is “tax day”.  I’ve seen a ton of coupons and promotions going on for today that I thought I’d share with all you lovely bloggers and readers.

  1. Oh, love all the promotions!

And I used to be obsessed with the Real World/Road Rules challenges… especially around the time of The Gauntlet? I can’t keep up with all of the new kids now that I don’t really watch Real World so much… Oh that makes me sound old. Pretend I didn’t say it!
