W.G. Grinders & The Goods

It was a cold day in Indianapolis yesterday.  It’s supposed to get warmer for this weekend, so lets hope so!  I don’t want any more weather below 70 degrees!  When I got home from work yesterday I was filled with energy.  I don’t know what my deal was, but it was awesome.  I decided I should get my lazy ass on the treadmill and that’s what I did.  I knocked out a little over 2 miles while watching the Biggest Loser, but didn’t feel like running the whole thing.  I decided to do interval laps.  I ran one mile at 7mph then I did the other mile with lap intervals at 8mph, rest for a couple of minutes, and another lap at 9mph.  It wasn’t anything crazy, but I was glad I got some fitness in.

Last night I wanted to try something a little different so I made the boyfriend and I some Turkey Treats for dinner.  I have no idea what to call them, so that’s the best I can come up with.  They are Pillsbury rolls baked into little bowls with taco-seasoned lean ground turkey, cheese and lettuce.  The Pillsbury bowls I made really made them a treat.  It was sort of a half taco/half dinner roll..yum!  I want to make these again, but make them bigger so I can fit more meat in them.

I wasn’t full enough after the two, so I put some of the ground turkey into a whole wheat wrap.

While at the grocery store tonight, I finally found my favorite ice cream snacks in stock.  I had to get them.  They were on sale, so I HAD to get two boxes actually.  Had one of these lovely pieces of perfection.

As for my lunch yesterday, sorry for going backwards, I tried out a new sandwich place called W.G. Grinders.  I went for the Light Turkey Grinder.

It was pretty good.  It seemed like they put a lot more meat on the sub than most places do.  I want to go back to this place and try some of their other stuff.  They had a huge menu.  I love finding new good lunch places!

The BF and I decided to rent another movie last night.  We went with The Goods.  Live Hard. Sell Hard.

We actually cracked up almost the whole time during this movie.  We are big Entourage fans and this movie’s main actor was Jeremy Piven.  It had really funny quick humor throughout the whole movie (as you can imagine how Ari Gold would be if he was a car salesman!).  Basically there was a lot of inappropriateness and even an appearance of the man, the legend, Will Ferrell (who actually was one of the producers of the movie).  I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a funny & inappropriate type of movie.

It’s FRIDIZZLE!  We finally have  a weekend with no set plans.  It feels like it’s been a while since that’s happened.  I have stuff planned from next weekend until what seems like the end of summer.  Hopefully I’ll get time to relax.

Have a great weekend!!

  1. I’m a huge fan of Grinders! mmm…

I’m hoping for better weather, too… another day below 40 may just suck the life out of me.

Have a nice relaxing weekend! Oh and I’m still planning a little get-together of bloggers (hopefully) on the day of Race to Wrigley if all goes well. There’s some interest by a few people, but no set plans. I should probably work on that…

    • The race will probably be a last minute decision for me. I’m going to see how my 5k goes the weekend before and then talk to my Chi-town girls to see if they are going to do the Wrigley race too. Hopefully if I decide to do it, it won’t be to late! Keep me posted though.
