The Sandwich Bandit

Monday morning I tested out my  new Stay Fit cereal bowl.  I filled the bottom with a cup and a half of Kashi cereal and I had the cup piece in the freezer over night.  When I put my milk in it and brought it to work, It was still nice, cold and fresh when I ate it.  The bowl is really convenient and cute.  The only bad thing was that the top of the milk container doesn’t secure well enough and when I put it in my purse to walk into work, it leaked a little.  No one wants to spill milk in their purse, that’s FOR SURE!  Hopefully I got it all out, otherwise I’m going to smell like a walking dumpster soon.

I went home for lunch and made a tuna sandwich with Special K crackers and Laughing Cow cheese on the side.  It was pretty plain and boring.

tuna

I thought I’d be a nice girlfriend and make a sandwich for my boyfriend because he would be home about 10 minutes after I went back to work.  So I made him 1 and a half tuna sandwiches and left it out on the kitchen counter.  When I was back at work, I got a call from him saying “Did you only make a half a sandwich?” I told him I left 1 AND a half and he said it was missing and the dog was acting weird.  MAX JUMPED UP ON THE COUNTER AND GRABBED THE WHOLE SANDWICH AND LEFT NO EVIDENCE.  The funny part is that we think that since he left the other half, he was trying to make it less obvious and hoping my boyfriend wouldn’t notice.  He’s a smart dog, so I wouldn’t doubt him.  Now, only if he were smart enough next time to take only the half then my boyfriend and I wouldn’t have even known because I only told him I made him a “sandwich”.  Oh Maxy, you’re one of a kind.  I got home from work and asked Max about the sandwich situation and all he said was this:

max

After work I hit the treadmill for a little workout.  I stayed at 6.1 mph and watched an episode of The Office ( I don’t know how the writers think of some of the stuff for that show, it’s hilarious ).

run

After running I made some chicken quesidillas with salsa.  Pretty good, but a little dry.  I made them with a Tumaros Low in Carbs Tortilla and reduced fat cheddar cheese.  Enjoyed these while watching some DWTS.  By the way, I don’t think they should allow people like Nicole Scherzinger on the show.  She’s got an unfair advantage because she’s already a dancer.  She’s at a whole other level than everyone else!  She’s hot though, I’ll give her that!

I had a Klondike ice cream sandwich afterwards and I’m still obsesssssssssed with these little guys.  I can’t get over it.

Gosh, after looking at my food pictures for the day, I really need some color in my life! Everything is brown!

On a not so good note, tickets to the final 4 are about $300 dollars each, at least.  So I don’t think I’ll be going TO the game now.  We’ll still be doing it big somewhere though, just not sure where.  That’s too bad.

WOW.  With the Butler game this weekend, I seriously didn’t even realize it was Easter on Sunday!?! I guess I’ve been caught up in some basketball world and completely forgot that.  I’m surprised they are having the NCAA tournament games on the Saturday before and the Monday after.  Kind of strange if you ask me.

Oh well, have a great Tuesday everyone.

    • You just cut a hole in the middle of the bread and put it on the stovetop. Then crack an egg into the hole and cook on medium for about 4 min. Flip the toast and egg combo and cook for another 4 minutes. Ready to eat!
