BUTLER TO THE FINAL 4

BUTLER WON AND IS HEADED BACK HOME TO THE FINAL 4!!!

We are sooo very excited that Butler won and is headed to the final 4 in Indianapolis this coming weekend.  WOOHOOO!!!  The little team that could is trucking along in this tournament and I’m along for the ride 🙂  Did you know Butler only has 4 thousand something students in their enrollment and they are one of the final FOUR teams in the country!? That’s amazing.  The best part is that Indianapolis is hosting the tournament so I’ll get to be there.  If I don’t end up going to the game, I’ll for sure be out on the town in the middle of it all.

My dad’s visit was a lot of fun.  Friday I did as I thought and ovERINdulged on pizza hut pizza, breadsticks and had a few beers.  DELISH.  Saturday morning we did some sight-seeing around Indy and then went to the bar to watch the game.  Afterwards we went out to eat and we all wanted Mexican.  I decided on Adobo Grill and I regret it completely.  I’m more of a “tex-mex” type of girl and I thoroughly enjoy some tacos and burritos.  This place didn’t even have that option. It was more authentic.  This should be good, but I eat like a 7-year-old and didn’t like it.  3 out of 4 people didn’t like their meals at our table.  My boyfriend liked it, but I think that’s just because he likes any and every food ever created (except a chicken dish I made one time that I knew he really didn’t like haha.  He was literally chasing my chicken with his water because he thought it was too dry..ooooops!).

After the parents went to bed, we went out on the town to celebrate the big win.  I had a few to many cocktails and I still have a headache from it TODAY.  That’s a 2 day hangover folks. I’ve been known to have the worst hangovers possible.  It’s not fair.  I wonder why some people get worse hangovers than others?

I didn’t get to take pictures this weekend because I didn’t have my camera with me a lot of the time.  I did manage to take a picture of a GM I made on Sunday, but I thought it tasted terrible and didn’t drink it.  I think the trick to me is that I have to have a banana in it, and this time I only had grapes, which didn’t taste as good in there.  It was also to thick.

Green Monster

When we were out on Saturday night, my boyfriend managed to mention that I had a blog to a friend and my family!!!!!!  I don’t know why, but I felt very uncomfortable when they asked about it.  Is it just me, or does anyone else feel weird when someone else from the “real world” finds out about your blog?  I know I shouldn’t be ashamed, but I was embarrassed.  I know I shouldn’t care.

  1. I thought of you when Butler won that last game. 😉

And yeah, since my blog is a big thing to me, I’ve let it slip once or twice in front of people I wouldn’t normally tell it to- so when they bring it up at another time, I feel quite awkward! “Oh yeah… I told you that… huh.”

  2. No one else knows and I hope to keep it that way! Well actually one friend does; she got me into this, but I worry that she’ll say something to someone. It’s a legitimate fear/cause of stress. I don’t want them to know, I want something for myself, ya know? Plus I would be opening myself up for endless mocking…my family is big on developing thick skins haha. Can’t really complain though cause God knows I dish it out! But I feel like I would be writing very differently if my friends/family knew about this. Something freeing about writing to people you don’t *really* know.

  3. It’s definitely an awkward moment when someone finds out…its almost like you’re being judged for that minute until you finally respond. Who cares though, your blog is awesome! And you deserve to indulge on pizza & beer! Hangovers suck!
