Passing up Hooters!

133.2

Last night was a test on my ability to stay on my diet during the week.  On my way home from work, my boyfriend called to say he wanted me to come out with the boys to go to Hooters.  A typical girl may say, HOOTERS? NO THANKS!  I, on the other hand, LOVE Hooters.  I absolutely love their wings and fries.  I instantly said that I’d go but thank god I had my iPhone available.  I took out my phone and looked up “Hooters nutritional facts”.  To my surprise, I found that in just 5 chicken wings it was 866 calories!  I knew there was no way that I could go to Hooters without eating at least 5 wings with ranch and fries.  I decided that I’d stick with my lean cuisine instead.  GO ME!!  No food remorse for me this morning!

Is there one restaurant in particular that you just can’t say no to?

Instead, I stopped at the grocery store and picked up some lean cuisines because I was craving pizza.  I found the deep dish 3 meat pizza and it was AWESOME!

Definitely my  new favorite Lean Cuisine 🙂

After dinner, I decided to get my booty on the treadmill.  I ran 30 minutes and burned 330 calories by running 2.8 miles.

So excited for this weekend!! Heading to Chicago to celebrate the best holiday in the world – St. Patrick’s day!  Can’t wait to celebrate all day long, drink green beer and just have fun with my girls!  Party starts at 10am on Saturday morning 🙂

  1. I like Hooter’s, too. But it’s definitely a restaurant I like to plan for if I know I’m going (when it comes to what I’m eating for the day). Mmmm…. I’m a sucker for good buffalo sauce…

Have fun in Chicago this weekend! I’ll be out and about on Saturday as well! Although I will not have the 10 AM drinking going on… he he he

  2. My husband dies if we don’t go to Hooters at least once a month. I quit eating the wings and get the grilled chicken sandwich with hot sauce added…I get the flavor but more bang for my buck (ignore the tater tots behind the curtain!). Looking at your snapshot of the calories for the day, looks like you had room for a wing or two. Don’t miss out every time, life is too short! 🙂 Enjoying the start of your blog!

  3. haha. I LOVE hooters. I actually went there on my 21st birthday. And there is def no way to just eat 5 wings!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

Oh and I use a variety of oats, either McCann’s 5 minute steel cuts, regular quakers, or whole wheat oats from the bins at my local natural foods store 🙂
